How the calculation works

Add the digits of your birth month, birth day and selected calendar year. Keep adding the result’s digits until a number from 1 to 9 remains. For Personal Month, add the calendar month number to that Personal Year and reduce again.

• Example: July 5 in 2027 gives 0 + 7 + 0 + 5 + 2 + 0 + 2 + 7 = 23, then 2 + 3 = 5.
• January then gives 5 + 1 = 6. February gives 5 + 2 = 7. Recalculate the annual number when the calendar year changes.

Calendar-year cycles, with an explicit rule

NUMERA changes Personal Year on January 1 and reduces annual and monthly results fully to 1–9, including totals of 11, 22 and 33. This differs from our Life Path calculation, which uses the full birth date and preserves those master numbers.

February 29 is accepted as a birth month and day in every reference year. The calculation still uses 2 and 29; it does not move the birthday to February 28 or March 1.

A Personal Year or Month is a symbolic numerology convention, not a measurement of you or a prediction of events. The optional prompts can help you reflect; they do not tell you when to marry, invest, seek treatment or make another major decision.

Questions people ask

Do I use my birth year or 2027?

Use the year you are exploring: 2027 for a 2027 Personal Year. Your birth month and day are included; your birth year is not. Life Path uses the full birth date instead.

Why does a different calculator show 11 instead of 2?

A tool may retain a master-number label where NUMERA fully reduces annual and monthly cycles to 1–9. Check the reference year, the date format, the reduction rule and whether the cycle starts in January or on your birthday.

Does my Personal Year change on my birthday?

Not with this calculator’s calendar-year convention. The selected year runs from January 1 through December 31. Birthday-based conventions are different methods; a matching label does not make their dates interchangeable.

Is this free, and do you need my full date of birth?

It is free with no account. Only birth month, birth day and the year to explore are needed. No birth year, birth time, name or email is requested.
